Architectural metal design by HMH Iron Design for The Block restaurant in Manhattan. We had a task to showcase the industrial spirit of the new modern bar by adding custom-designed metal featured elements. To implement the main idea we used black metal with special antique touching. To highlight the contrast and bring a bit of the old fashion style we put it together with brass frames and mirrors. In connection with brownstone bricks, it makes a unique aesthetic view. The most bespoke part is a hall widening wall mirror with an arch black metal frame. It also has a touching which makes an impression of old-fashionless. The architectural metal design nowadays can be at the same time as antique and modern, if you wish so.
